Editorial changes

David H. Phillips, Editor-in-Chief

I am pleased to announce that Charles Limoli, University of California, Irvine, USA, has been appointed a Senior Editor of Mutagenesis. Already a member of the Editorial Board, Dr Limoli has extensive expertise in radiation biology, oxidative damage to DNA and genomic instability, and his appointment to the team of Senior Editors will maintain the journal's commitment to serving the mutagenesis community by publishing high-quality research papers and reviews.

At the same time, Jeff Schwartz, University of Washington, Seattle, is stepping down as Senior Editor. Jeff has played a key editorial role in the management of the journal since November 2000 when he became Executive Editor for North America, and then one of the Senior Editors when Mutagenesis switched to online manuscript submission in August 2004. I would like to record my gratitude to him for his valuable contributions and commitment to enhancing the standards and reputation of the journal, and I am pleased that he will continue his association with the journal by remaining on the Editorial Board.
